Apply for judicial guardianship
Through Just-on-web, you can apply for a guardianship for a person who is no longer capable of performing certain actions, making decisions or managing assets. Applying for guardianship is possible for adults and the elderly, e.g. coma patients, psychiatric patients or those with dementia, but is also possible for minors with disabilities.
The justice of the peace will then put together a tailored judicial protection package. This means that the court determines which aspects require protection: for example, for the person themselves or only for the assets. In addition, the court determines whether the guardian should only assist the person or fully represent them.
By applying for a guardianship , you prevent a vulnerable person from being abused. Several people can apply for such a guardianship: the person to be protected, their family, other stakeholders (in the case of professional guardians) or the public prosecutor.
View your file as a guardian
When you apply for a guardianship, you will be provided with access to your personal file. Here you can consult the status of your file at any time ('ongoing', 'pending' or 'in progress'). By the way, you will automatically receive an e-mail when your file is updated. In addition to the status, you will also find a chronological overview of all appointments, court decisions, reports, documents and correspondence regarding your file.
Change your (application for) guardianship
You can not only apply for and view your guardianship, but also manage your file as a guardian. For example, you can submit additional forms or request changes (e.g. regarding the level of protection, replacement of a guardian or other parties). It is also possible to terminate your guardianship.
